ECS is committed to providing a professional service. We believe in responsible coaching and teaching practices. We provide a service that sustains progressive individual development and teaches our athletes & riders to self-monitor, manage and understand their bodies. We guide our riders in identifying realistic goals and expectations for themselves while encouraging them to seek and accept challenges. Emphasis is on the coach/teacher-athlete/rider relationship that both enhances and expands on the written training plan.

PERSONAL LOGIN: Members of ECS coaching get their own personal login (via username and password) to a unique homepage which gives them access to all the features of the site which include training and nutrition diaries and plans, forums and library articles on all things cycling.

NUTRITION DIARY: Eating right is an essential and significant factor to riding better. Members have the option, if they wish, to record dietary intake (calorie/kilojoule input) through their nutrition diary.
The ECS site has an inbuilt Metabolic Rate formula (Harris Benedict) which calculates your individual calorie/kilojoule output (based on height, weight, age, sex and activity level) and subsequently can accurately predict weight loss or gain when you record your food intake and exercise output.

EXERCISE PLANS/DIARY: You can access your weekly exercise plans via your homepage. These are detailed plans in online interactive and printable formats which explain exactly what, when and how to train on a day to day basis. Each program is tailored to your personal and individual needs, goals, fitness level and capabilities.
The diary part of the exercise plan makes it possible for you to simply tick off the required activity as being completed or overwrite it with the actual activity done along with the specific details and your own comments. Your coaches & teachers will then be able to access your diary at anytime and comment or ask questions regarding the session.

COMMUNICATION TOOLS: ECS is built with invaluable messaging tools which enable your coaches & teachers to communicate with you effectively at any time and keep the messages relative to a certain topic or activity/training session for easy reference in the future. You can create messages which are private for only the coaches/teachers to see or open which is available for other members to access and comment on. It's also possible to send personal messages to other cyclists and riders within ECS to help motivate and encourage each other.

GOAL SETTING: One crucial key to success is to set goals. The next most important thing is to write them down so you can always see what your aiming for. ECS can help you establish the best goals for you to aim for while keeping it realistic and achievable. The login section of ECS gives you the ability to write it into your homepage and record progress reports so that you and your coach or teacher can measure your progress and see if you are meeting your goals.

LIBRARY: Members have exclusive access to a growing number of articles and essays on sports science, principles of training, skills, bike fit, nutrition, equipment and other areas of specific and general interest to cyclists and bike riders of all levels.
